Healing to Action grew out of the Coalition Against Workplace Sexual Violence, a cross-movement collaboration between Chicago’s labor and anti-violence movements that started in 2012. The Coalition’s work demonstrated the potential of worker leaders to transform communities most affected by gender violence.

In 2016, Healing to Action formed to support worker leaders in developing meaningful responses to gender violence in their communities.
